Fleur Seule – My husband brought me to see Fleur Seule perform at Tavern on the Green in New York City the night he proposed. I knew a proposal was coming and the moment I heard their first number I said to him, “we NEED to have them perform at our wedding.” After he popped the question, one of my first emails was to Allyson Briggs to get a sense of cost and their availability for the fall of 2019. We booked them for our wedding to perform as guests arrive at our ceremony, our processional/recessional at the ceremony, our cocktail hour and our first dance at the reception. For our first dance, I asked Allyson if they would be open to a song outside of their repertoire and she worked with us to do a rendition of Lovesong (originally by The Cure and covered by 311 [our song as a couple) and also done by Adele). It was a huge success. We had many guests comment on how amazing they were and what a nice touch it was to have them as part of the wedding given they were part of our engagement story (this was mentioned by the officiant during our ceremony so everyone was aware). Fleur Seule is a group of tremendously talented musicians and I would highly recommend them for any wedding or special event. I’d also recommend people to see them at one of their regular residencies in the city – it’s a great time!
